Going into my 3rd week of bulking and so far I've gained 1 inch to each of my thighs, half an inch to my left arm and 3/4 an inch to my right.


Do you think this is muscle memory? I've only gained 4-5 lbs and I am sure alot of that is water and fat, I've also added an inch to my stomache but I think alot of it is water, although I know I've gained some fat. It could also be creatine, first time taking it and I've read it makes the muscle retain water giving it a bigger fuller look.

Either way, I still have another month and a week to bulk so we'll see what the end results are.


I also hope to get upto a 225 squat, right now I am doing 205 for 6 , that was my last leg day I am increasing it this week.


What do you all think?

Sounds typical and you have to expect a level of compensation when bulking. As long as you don't mind it, your going in the right direction.:)

I expect it, I even started with my bf just a tad to high, around 11-12%, but I didn't want to wait to cut it down, and its the holidays so I just went with it.Next time I am going to get down to atleast 8-10 before I bulk.
 
I am bulking right now and my BF is prob around 12% as well. I have taken a total of 18 days off in the last month to rest and over eat. It sux to watch yourself compensate but in the long run, it helps. It's the only way I know how to gain weight naturally.
 
Sounds like some decent gains Cobin,
I've just finished my 2 weeks off and am going to go on another 1-1.5 month bulk... I'm pretty sure I should be able to crack 205 lbs at 5'10 while bulking... My goal is to be 190 lbs at 10% BF by summer... I think its feasable.. I fucked up my shoulder again last night though on a bet from somebody at work that I couldn't do a verticle pushup... I did it, but also created some massive inflamation... hopefully I can have it healed by tonights workout... (fingers crossed)

You should definitely snap some before and after pictures man.. I'll host em for you... Fire me a PM and I'll give you my email address to send em to. As we've talked about before, I think we have similar frames and would be interested in seeing how you develop in comparison to me...
