I was thinking of doing fasted cardio, to give it a try to say so. I already swim every morning before work. Could that be considered cardio training for fasted cardio? Thanks
That will mostly depend on how intensively you swim. If you swim quite intensively, that will definitely count as cardio, since swimming does make your heart race.
All fasted cardio means is that you do the cardio before eating breakfast.
It's not more beneficial for fat loss. Long term studies show that there is no increase or decrease in body fat burned when doing cardio fasted.
Long story short - do your cardio whenever it best fits your schedule. Doing your cardio is what matters. Worrying about if you do it before or after breakfast doesn't matter.
Any exercise that gets your heart rate up is cardio. And if you don't eat but only drink water you are in a fasted state. Put those together and you have fasted cardio.
