i hate people spotting me
the very few times ive asked for a spot, i start with a disclaimer: if you touch the bar in any way shape or form, i will kill you (unless of course the bar has fallen onto my chest and Im turning blue - then and only then may you touch it)

Same here. I find it distracting and annoying as fucking hell. Even worse is when it's a guy and he thinks he's helping by offering words of encouragement during the lift.
