Is there a link between female bodybuilders and Cellulite?

BBINg cannot "create" cellulite cells

100 % correct.. You see cellulite because you gained fat by not eating correctly and or a combination of not training the same. BB does not cause cellulite or fat.

I think aging does have an effect.

I actually never saw any cellulite until after I had children. I've often wondered about birth control pills and whether or not they contribute to cellulite.

I have pretty low bodyfat now -- 15.6% and still have a few dimples -- drives me nuts. I've never been overweight either and am a healthy eater. Hopefully that will all be gone when I'm at 7 to 9% bodyfat for my contest. :p

Anyway, as far as bodybuilding goes -- I think that has definitely helped me in the cellulite department. It would be much worse if I didn't lift regularly.

genetics plays a role too..

I was very heavy at one point.. over 200lbs.. and i dont have cellulite

Yep, have to agree with that one.....

I was 170lbs at one point & I do have it..... damn genetics!!

Cellulite is mainly genetic in the sense that mainly females get it. But the real connection is high estrogen in the presence of excess calories. I think a lot of women suffer rebound cellulite post dieting due to 1) a sudden increase in estrogen; and 2) a sudden increase in calories. This seems to be particularly true if a lot of those calories are high glycemic carbs due to insulin acting synergistically with estrogen to deposit fat in butt and thighs. So it's not the loss of muscle or the BB lifestyle that causes it, but rebound from dumb dieting to very low body fat levels which sets your body up for rapid fat regain when you stop dieting.
