Newbie here.
This question has to do with the Thread: Bulking for fat boys( I didn't want to hog up the post, so I posted a new thread)
For example, in my diet i had about 8g of fat with 93g of carbs in one meal, in another meal I had 6g with 144g of carbs. Is this low enough? What should the percentage of fat be to carbs.
My totals at the end of the day have been 55-60% carbs, 25-30%protein, 9-17% fat. On a couple of days I have eaten a little more than 35% protein.
Now I am not lean by any means but I really don't get fat too easily. I just got fat from not working out and eating like a pig for the past 6 years. Went from 165lbs to 227lbs last summer until I got my ass on a diet. I went down to 177 but back up to 190.
I only eat what I think are clean foods like whole wheat foods, been drinking 1% Milk but will switch to skim milk, veggies, fruits, chicken and tuna, beef once in a while, whey protein shakes, eggs once in a while, oats, and drink more than a gallon of water a day. Would my eating habits be good for gaining muscle and losing fat. I work out 3 days out of the week(for five weeks then 4 days a week) and walk 5 days out of the week.
Tell me what you think.

by bigp32. Don’t mix carbs with fats… Those of us whom tend to get fat easy are carb sensitive and don’t respond well to insulin spikes especially with fats involved. What happens when you eat carbs with fats? The answer is your body produces an insulin spike and tends to pull the fats more readily into the fat cells than usual. Keep your meals that are high in carbs as low as possible in the fats and this should help stave off fat storage to an extent.
