Is it sexual harrassment if..

I walk up to some random girl in the park and tell her that she's beautiful and that I want her number?
After all it might make her uncomfortable.

But then again some women get uncomfortable if you look at them.

I'm sure if you walked up to some girl in the park and asked her if she wanted to make out with you, then that would be sexual harrassment.

I wonder where the line gets drawn.

nah i doubt that that is harassment...lol...what's the worst that can happen? she rejects you like a bitch saying something such as "get out of my face you pervert!" then who cares you walk away and try the next lady on the next park bench...lol...one will have to budge ;) :heart:
 
Well I wouldn't just walk up to her, tell her how beautiful she is and then ask for her number right away.

Small talk will let you know whether she is interested or not. I don't see why meeting someone in a park would be any different than meeting someone at a bar or any other public establishment
 
No, it's not sexual harrassment if you ask a random girl for her phone number. Go for it. You will get phone numbers that way if you act confident. Be good.

I don´t know what the law is and it will be different from place to place but I think it should only be illegal to touch her crotch, ass, mouth or breasts unless she wants you to.

Touching her anywhere else should only be illegal after a warning. You touch her arm or something and she tells you to piss off and if you do it again, THEN its illegal.

The whole area of law is fucking shady. There is usually no evidence at all.
My girlfriend could go to the police now and claim I´ve been raping and threatening her for two years and she never dared tell them until now.

I´d be in serious danger of being convicted. It´s crazy. Then again you can´t legalize this stuff either.

This is a problem caused by this crazy world in which it is normal for women to have interaction with men who aren´t spouses or relatives. Gives all sorts of tricky problems.

no its not harassment or sexual harassment, as you have only asked once, anyone can ask anyone, how else would people get together. harassment is defined if it is continued unwanted contact of any kind, and obviously sexual harassment needs some form of sexual act to it, it could be lewd comments of suggestive comments etc. but what your talking about is 100% fine.

you're not getting what i'm saying man... by saying that i meant that you make too big a deal out of this...just do it once, twice, enough times so that these kind of things become natural for you. and don't go asking "if she wants to make out", the girls who say yes to that, you don't wanna be with. start with some small talk, don't come here asking for a complete script of what to say, do etc. that will NEVER work.

In a workplace ... oh yes! You could escape punishment with a quick apology and a statement you will not approach her again.

In public .... If she feels she is in physical danger, that is Assault and you are in big trouble.

If she feels this is an unwanted sexual advancement, but not physical danger, you are guilty of harassment. This is usually solved by reasonable people with an apology and you go away.

If you say you've noticed her many times ... thats Stalking and jail time.

Touch her ... it is battery and you are going to jail.

So ... polite small talk, introductions from friends/family is the way to go.

I've been doing it a lot and it hasnt been becoming natural yet. :(

i do small talk, but i have a hard time asking for a number after that or a lot of times when i engage in small talk they show that they are not interested.
