Proscar causes many people to shed hair, often at a very rapid rate, for a matter of weeks when the drug therapy has began. If so, it will take another matter of weeks for the new hair to begin growing. Still more time is needed before results can be actually seen.
If I were you, I'd simply give it a few more months before making any decisions.
anyone devlop an itchy rash from the spiro?.i am doign nizoral 1%eod, 2% eod, monoxidil + azaliec acid 2x/day, and spiro 2x/day..and im assuming its the spiro that cause the allergic(dermatitis) reaction...
I've had no problems with spironolactone. Nizoral daily tends to dry out my scalp, though not overly so. Minioxidil alone has made my scalp peel on occasion.
Though said to be rare, dryness, peeling, and rash are possible side effects of azelaic acid.
i've read an article that had information about the azelaic acid..and it said it cause no side effects....i've used monoxidil before and dont believe i got this rash....but i know i've read that spiro can cause a rash or a rare fatal allergic reaction..called analypaxia something
