is glucosamine a necessary supplement?

This has been debated on the Anabolic board many times. It always gets mixed reviews. Some swear by it, some say they got nothing from it.

I would give it try if you are having joint/tendon problems. Maybe you will be one of the ones who has a great experience with it.:)

i know that around here you can get some glucosamine that's meant for horses. i know the neighbor lady takes it for something.

would it be practical for us lifters?

helps maintain the health of the joints. . .as far as I am concerned it is important for all strength athletes (football players, wrestlers, track and field athletes, powerlifters, bodybuilders, and strongman).

It is beneficial for everyone.

recently, i've been having some pain in my forearms which i believe is in the tendons area. I have just assumed it was some minor tendonitis, but after trying to work through it for a couple weeks, it has seemed to flare up a little bit. I don't know much about glucosamine; do you think it would help this problem? is it a supplement at all or just used to relieve minor pains?
