Hi
I am cutting right now lost 31 pound so far in the last 3 months,i just wanted to know if its good to replace my serving a greens that i eat with my meal with a can(serving) a V8? thanks

Liquid calories are always easier to consume, and less satisfying. I'd suggest you stick to lightly cooked veggies.
I drink V8, but I'm 305 lbs and plan on staying that way...

not to mention the sodium in a V8 is ridiculous. My rule of thumb has always been to keep it as close to nature as possible

thanks for your replies guys and me too what i hate the must is the sodium content they put in.

P.S I was thinking of getting a juicer to make my own vegetable, fruit drinks

You never want to cut up? I think you'd look a lot better....

How many people over 300 lbs have visible abs?
I'd rather be one of a handful, then one of millions.
Plus I compete in powerlifting, so the extra fluid cushions my smallish joints.

I guess it does replace what you get from veges.
Its also a great source of SUGAR and SODIUM

How bad is sodium for you and what are its effects

I love drinking tomato juice, but not the kind from the stores. I get them from my garden, juice the tomatoes and can it myself. I prefer beefsteak tomatoes because the flavor is a bit better to me and I don't have to add salt. That may not be practical to alot of you guys, but if you have room for container gardens on your deck, that might be a possibility or just hit the farmer's markets for your tomatoes.

very true. how imporant ias cooked veggies (steamed) vs raw? am I loosing much by cooking or steaming them?

isn't there some low-sodium v8 out there? i know the abs diet talks about it, but has anyone found a place that sells it?

Yes. There are three types of V-8. One is the regular, another is hot and spicy, and there is a low-sodium one as well. I've seen them at Kroger and most grocery stores.

I know the v8 has a lot of sodium...but damn its good!

I don't make a habit of it, but I enjoy a glass of it every now and then
