I thought that having him here was a good idea... in order to have a better understanding of the situation we needed to hear where he stands (what his views are) instead of just listening to our government (the same one that lied about weapons of mass destruction). Our government is using many claims against Iran to deflect the failed war against Iraq (correction: our fight for Oil). I certainly dont like the guy who supports terrorism, stands against womens rights, homosexuality, religion etc..but why are our leaders so fast to point them out and squash their mistakes when homosexual marriages are not leagal in most states in U.S and we never really had a women president, we actually funded taliban when russia wanted to invade Afghan and supplied Sadam i mean can it get any worse then that ohh wait yes our soldiers are dying...for what??? Because we dont have control of the Oil in the middle east and we wont leave until we get what we want, thats us and we are bullies and no one like bullies so do you blame the Iranian President to threaten to bomb us?? ...i just think its a bit hypocritical....This is like a teenage argument between two presidents when they can just sit down and discuss things in an intelligent manner (keep your friends close and enemies closer right).
Btw I have to say that im a bit disgusted/embarrased/ashamed by Lee Bollingers speech, what a terrible and a disrespectful way to welcome someone. We are americans with class and should handle ourselves with such manner no matter who we are speaking to.
thanx for all your inputs
