Depends on the insurance company. When I swerved to avoid an accident and hit a guardrail/jersey wall and no one was involved, I called my insurance, told them the story, no one looked at the car except the body shop. The insurance approved body shop gave an estimate, insurance paid the bill, I paid my $500 - total for side swiping my GS against a guardrail/barrier wall was 8,000. Not a single insurance agent look at it.
Srsly, how? I've been without a car and driving a v6, it's draining my mileage, I was planning on taking it to the dealer tomorrow but would like to know what you mean first.
