my lifts are just normal, since I have only "bulked" once and did feel the difference, however I cannot blame it on one particular meal, but the 300grs carbs I was eating throughout the day before lifting.
A couple of times I have "cheated" and had some carbs before lifting (like 1-2 hours)... not much of a difference though, at least not noticeably.
on the other hand, when I am having bad-eating days (maybe skipped a meal or didn't drink enouigh water) I DO feel very weak.
It's all relative, for me, if I can work with the same weights as in my carb-up day I am happy.
BTW, I am trying for a week 50grs carbs (from oats) 2 hours before lifting... so far I don't feel a big difference, except tha I feel like shit during the day (no carbs until 7:00 pm)
