I've actually been using Humulin-R off and on now for several years, with great results. I weigh about 260, 5 feet 9 inches, and I take 12iu's twice a day. I started taking that amount after reading a muscle media 2000 article about 10 years ago. The reason I asked is because whenever I read about insulin, they're always talking about using it with growth. My bodyfat is about 17%. Again, I've read a lot of different things. I train at 6a.m. I take it at 5:30 and eat bowl of oatmeal with honey, protein shake, and glass of koolaid for sugar. Then I'm home by 7:30, take protein shake. Then at about 9:00 I eat another small meal with more koolaid for sugar. I take my next 12 iu's at 5:00 when I get home from work. Eat small meal at 5:30 with koolaid. Next meal 3 hours later when insulin kicks in again. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but it seems to work for me. Only taking Romanian D's now.(6/3times a day) 80mg's total. Bought 7 bottles of LSP suspension to go with it, but too big of a PAIN IN THE ASS!acneman said:no

First, when I'm working out I keep a jug of koolaid in my gym bag. Works great for cheap carbo drink after my workout and in case I have insulin reaction. As far as taking my last dose at 5:30, from what I understand humulin R peaks twice, half hour after you take it and then again about three hours later. So I'm safe to go to bed anytime after my 9:00pm meal. But, I'm no pro, so open to any advice. Thanks!acneman said:i feel that taking before workout is dangerous

since you are taking it twice a day i would pay close attention to Iron master's post as they deal with alternatives to the post workout only plan
i cant remember if primal x states his views or not but he advises a pre workout regimine
also if your eating at 530 when do you go to sleep as i think this is an important issue with afternoon insulin dosing
