It has been mentioned here recently, so I went and found an old Musclemag and this is what I found on it:
It is not to be confused with Interleukin-6, which is an immunocytochemical. This means that it will modulate your immune response in reaction to infection. All the research behind IL-6 states that it is responsible for inflammatory reactions, and is associated with a high level of cortisol and low levels of androgens and IGF-1. Basically this means when you take this stuff you're in a big time catabolic state.
Interleukin-15 is a different story. There was a guy in Europe who was taking it and he had bad genetics. He went from a measly 180 pounds to a massive 275 at contest weight!
IL-15 was hit upon in '95 as quite the anabolic agent in a study published in the Journal of Endocrinology. It showed that IL-15 doubled the rate of hypertrophy of skeletal muscles and when stacked with IGF-1 can increase hypertrophy fivefold. And the neat thing is that IL-15 does not make your internal organs grow.
At this point no one knows what the side effects are or what the optimal dosage is for hypertrophy. It is also expensive as hell. Just one single 10mg dose costs about $400.
A picture is shown in it as it is made by Sigma Chemicals. It comes in a vial of 10mg. No that is not a typo, 10mg. It is to be kept frigid at 2-8 degrees C and it denotes that it is not for use in humans.
It is in the April 2000 Musclemag with Milos Sarcev and Monica Brant on the cover.
