i gained 20 pounds in about 2 1/2 months. Eat big get big. I eat 9 meals a day. Drink tons of water (at least a gallon a day) Eat tons of carbs and proteins. I also take flax seed oild and GNC's Mega Men vitamins. I also started training much heavier to shock my muscles into growth. Instead of doing pyramid sets (12, 10, 8 ,6 etc) I do sets of 5-7 reps then 3, 2, 1. My chest has gotten huge since I started training with lower reps. Also try hitting legs. Squats and dead-lifts are awesome because they stimulate your own bodys GH (growth Hormones) and increase testosterone levels. Anything that pounds the glutes and increases blood flow. I started doing ther dead lifts and squats and noticed a difference too for overall mass. Then there's the AS route. Not condoning it but do what you gotta do. CHeck the internet for hardgainers if you want to put on size and strength.

ive tried DC, gained 7 pounds, lost some strenght but gained some detail

im doin the madcow 5x5 and am on my 2nd week, ive seen some results in my biceps and delts and overall power. im pretty sure the strenght will be increasing and the size will follow.

id say try both

Just an FYI - generally for a very experienced lifter most of the strength and size gains will show up in the deloading period as the body catches up and overcompensates from the block of stimulus applied during the loading phase. Most people aren't accustomed to this type of training so what they've generally seen is gains appearing throughout both phases and their target records in the core lifts increasing even during the volume phase. This makes it harder to peg moving targets in weeks 3/4 but who's going to complain about seeing size and strength sooner rather than later. I figured I'd mention this as I don't want anyone to get discouraged if they don't see major gains in the first 4 weeks as typically, this is how dual factor programs are designed to work.
