IMPORTANT: SCAM for PAYPAL info

There's a name for this but it escapes me right now, North Fork bank was getting a lot of these too.

If you get an email from what SEEMS like PAYPAL saying:

The security questions and answers for your PayPal account were changed on March. 1, 2006. If you did not authorize this change,please contact us immediately using this link :

https://www.paypal.com/us/contact-us

Don't enter your info - it's a referring site to here looking to get your log in info.

I got one.
I've gotten these type of emails before which usually include a proxy URL that forwards a few times. I figured they would be sending a lot out and thought I'd give everyone a heads up.

Here's a copy of the email.
Pay Pal actually has an email addy dedicated to collecting info on these sorts of things.

Dear valued PayPal member,

The security questions and answers for your PayPal account were changed on March. 1, 2006. If you did not authorize this change,please contact us immediately using this link :

https://www.paypal.com/us/contact-us

However, You will need to update some of your records in our Resolution center if not will result account suspension.


Please update your records by March 4th.

Someone is phishing, this is nothing new. Happens daily with paypal, that's why I don't use it.

Thanks - it was driving me.

Really? This is the first one in a few years that I've recieved.
But then again I've used it less than a half dozen times.
