what would i do?

What would I do? I listen to that type of music 90% of the time!

I'd listen to metal, punk, and classic rock - wait, that's all I listen to anyhow.
Techno - sheesh. At least it's better than hip hop.

even tho i dont like the music i would be pissed cause that would me that there woud be no more e and k head chicks out at 6am after the clubs lol

I don't listen to it in any other setting, but that would kind of bum out my cardio playlist.

Here is nerf loosening up on the dance floor.

Well prior to having my kiddos raves, clubs, hotel parties, house parties.. good times!

should i see this movie? those of you who love it, what other movies do you think are great.

My favorite movie lately was No Country for Old Men, before that, The Departed.

What movie? The one jack and I were talking about, Cherry 2000? It's a cheesy 80's sci fi...if that's your bag, go for it but I highly doubt it withstands the test of time lol

There would be less violince and more world peace thats for sure.

How about if there were just no synthesizers, drum machines, or samplers? Then rap would die too. Two birds with one stone.

j/k, I like drum n bass and vocal trance.

hooters girl?

Nope I was just a fun party college girl that is all. You don't have to be a whore to appreciate good parties and great music!

So you do a lot of X then? Surely no one can endure that noise when they're sober?

X makes it much better, but if you don't like the music I can see why it would annoy you otherwise. The music alone can take you away even not on anything if you truely love the music. It is great driving, cardio, and cleaning music ;)

I just listened to Tiesto In Search of Sunrise 6 (Ibiza) ystrdy. It's alright. Never could get into Tiesto that much. He's got skills and has produced some amazing tracks, but a lot of his stuff lacks inspiration, IMO.

The Imogen Heap mix was pretty tight tho

Talking about techno.... this year's White Party Rave (in Montreal) on march 23rd will feature Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Meno de Jong and Infected Mushroom in the trance room and David Guetta, Offer Nissim and Victor Calderone in the house room. So if any of you guys are in the area in march, dont miss it !

I find Tiesto rather disapointing most of the time, he does have some good tracks here and there.

Oakenfold is over-hyped in my opinion, I don't like 99% of his stuff

I don't even listen to O. I saw him months ago perform and it was just bad. More cause the crowd, venue and sound system blew, but his set was lame too

Judge Jules, Marco V, and Armin Van Burren kill Tiesto and Oakenfold in my opinion.

Ambient trance has all the melody and structure in the world

Really? Then you could walk down the street humming or whistling the tune? Maybe sing it to your daughter when you tuck her in at night?

lol

i guess that is your definition of melody and structure........

Kinda hard to sing it to a kid to go to sleep when most of the stuff is at 140+ bpm

I still can't believe you didn't know the Beatles song. Thats like not knowing how to find the U.S. on a world map. Are you related to this chick?

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

You are funny. Once the youtube video was posted of the song you guys were talking about then I knew, but I didn't know it by reading the lyrics as I never listened to them. I have listened to the Doors many times.

Great classics !

Age of Love

Dr. Motte/Westbam - "Sunshine"

Cosmic Gate

Delirium - Innocente

Tiesto's remix of The Silence

and many others.... BUT nothing beats Energy52 "Cafe del Mar"
