Nothing wrong with looking good...I've just learned to not make too many assumptions about a person just on how they present themselves

HAHA, THIS IS AN INTERESTING QUESTION, BECAUSE WHEN I WAS A YOUNG MAN I USED TO DRESS ALL NICE FOR AN INTERVIEW. NOW I HAVE PUT AWAY THAT BULLSHIT. I WEAR TO AN INTERVIEW EXACTLY WHAT I WEAR DAY IN DAY OUT, I.E. SOME JEANS AND A T-SHIRT (LONG SLEEVED SHIRT IF IT IS WINTER).

I'VE STILL GOT EVERY JOB I APPLIED FOR :D

Thats cool man, keep it real. If everyone did there would be much less BS to deal with. As for me, if i feel like wearing sweatpants thats exacly what i wear.

You physical image might enhance who you are, but it will not hide any short comings that you might have. Before you can make a decision about someone you have to know that person. The image they present is part of them, but it is a small part.

in this case, I always look at the overall figure. long skirts catch my attention more than minis. minis are just too easy to look at, ya know?

it sucks that appearance is what people look at a lot of the time......but its the way the world works. if i see a bunch of people in suits im unlikely to cross the road. if i see a bunch of people in bomber jackets at night i might consider it

i dont necessarily agree with it, but thats the way it works. i always get approached by lost women etc more when im wearing a suit, or dressed up smart, when im a bit more casual, it doesnt happen.

i REALLY hate the people that after getting to know someone, still judge them on what they wear. or for that matter people that make more long term judgements on someone on their appearance (i.e. someone who calls a girl a slut due to a low kneckline dress, or a guy because he isnt wearing designer stuff)

you guys should come to my town, tools fakes fonies, wanna be-'s you name it.

if anyone thinks their town is worst than mine lets compare notes and see lol

I dont think thats the way it HAS to be. Things have gotten much better when it come to sterotypeing people. In my eyes treating somone based on the way they dress is just as bad as treating them based on thier race.

I agree, and seeing as how it takes at least three months of communicating, relating, and socializing with people to determine who they really are......I don't think it's a good idea to get too wrapped up in the physical package...

a common flaw amongst women and men. Then compounding the flaw by ignoring the obvious signs of trouble because of the physical attraction.

Until it's too late....and they're abused, either mentally or physically.

true.....and it routnely pisses me off everyday i dress up nice :D

but we evolved to base our descisions of past experiences. so if i see a bunch of youths dressed in some f-ed up puffa jackets id be more likely to cross the road than if i saw a bunch of suits (not that i cross the road for anyone now :D )

first impressions count. if at a job interview you turned up in a holed up t-shirt with a beer stan the mpression will be you cant be bothered to look good for an interview, will u be able to for the job

would you see a messily dressed doc?

thedifference is race has no bearing on how well/badly someone can perform a task. appearance is a good indicator if this

I agree that everyone does or has done it, but i disagree with your last stament. One could eaisly arguee that a black person is more likely to steal or use drugs on the job becase the percentage of blacks in jail. There are no facts that say a person who dresses a certian way with preform badly. There are way to many factors involved, the most you could say is the badly dressed person couldnt design cloths or organize a fashion show, and even thats a strech.
