well, i do believe they need to put some restrictions on the engines in racing, but that's to give a fair advantage to the driver. well, ok, not in nascrap, cause you're only going in a circle. so let's think about REAL racing, where they do more than left hand turns for 500 miles. with engines being restricted to a point, it then narrows the race down to the driver's/rider's skill, suspension, tuning of the engine, and braking system. that evens it out quite a bit, IMO.
i watch motorcycle racing, and i know the engines are hopped up a LOT from stock. when you make the restrictions to even the playing feild, you can see who is the better racer. but turning left for 500 miles and nothing else...no skill involved.
