I'm so bored....

maybe seriously restricted considering what they used to be able to do to them. what do they put to the ground? 400hp and about that much torque?

I think only certain tracks have restrictor plates. The worry is that if they go to fast, they might fly over the barriers and land in the grandstand. I know Talladaga is one of them, same with Daytona. The truck series is kinda entertaining...

No they are over 600 horsepower. That sounds like alot for a small block, but when you look at the heads they have it isn't. I've gotten 603 (dynoed) out of a 355, with one carb, no nitrous, and a pair of iron dart II sportsmans for around $4500. I used to street race when I was in high school.

the only way watching nascrap could be entertaining is if every 5-10 laps there was a crash. other than that, you couldn't put enough cheap beer into me to get me to enjoy it.

How about randomly placed landmines appearing every few laps?

No bro, the entire engine is restricted. Yes they have restrictor plates that go under the carberators at some tracks, but the internal components of the engines are severly restricted. They are in all professional motor sports, but NASCAR more so than most.

well, i do believe they need to put some restrictions on the engines in racing, but that's to give a fair advantage to the driver. well, ok, not in nascrap, cause you're only going in a circle. so let's think about REAL racing, where they do more than left hand turns for 500 miles. with engines being restricted to a point, it then narrows the race down to the driver's/rider's skill, suspension, tuning of the engine, and braking system. that evens it out quite a bit, IMO.

i watch motorcycle racing, and i know the engines are hopped up a LOT from stock. when you make the restrictions to even the playing feild, you can see who is the better racer. but turning left for 500 miles and nothing else...no skill involved.

Or how about if they had those spinning blades that come out of the wheels like in the old charriot race movies? That'd be sweet!
