I'm Old And Fat!

Nelson Montana

Well, at 58 years old and 195 pounds that's what my doctor thinks. Well FUCK YOU doc! lol

Just got my latest blood test back.

Blood pressure (which is high on everyone my age ) is 130 over 75.

Testosterone: 950.

Free Test 25.7 pgs (Considered high for a 29 year old)

Estrogen 15ngs

Cholesterol; 160

LDL: 76 (less than 100 is optimal)

HDL: 67 (Anything over 45 is excellent)

My waist is 31 inches.

And this doushbag told me I should lose some weight and lower my HRt because my high free t was "a concern." What the fuck?!?!? HE should be doing so well.

Anyway, I'm down south and eating my face off. The food is AMAZING. Here I am in New Orleans. Poboys and Ribs BITCH.

Exercise and supplements and lots of both. (And HRT) Keeps ya young. Don't forget it.

I've never seen anyone that was fat that had a 31 inch waste. But you know doctors are always right. Is he the same doc that prescribed you the HRT ?

Sent from my EVO4G.

good job man.. i'm 51 not as tight as you as i'll hold more bf.. but i keep the 50" chest and 36" waist..

keep doing what you are doing..

question for you though.... have you done the whole body mri cancer scan yet?? something to look into.. test and gh issues as we get older, that's probably what he's factoring..

I have 0 respect for all doctors now. Except surgeons and the ones working the ER . The rest are all worthless as tits on a bull.

Nah, that doc is long gone. But all the following ones are perplexed by it. it's amazing how ignorant they are about this stuff. It's funny, you'd think the younger ones would be more open minded but I find the older doctors are more aware. The younger ones are more concerned with following what the book says and the book says testosterone is a controlled substance. BUGGA BUGGA ! It requires a triple script and that freaks them out!

What do call someone who graduates at the bottom of his class in medical school?

DOCTOR! lol

Yeah, we got to look after that old people shit. Damn, if i were to do all that they say I need 'd be in the doctors office non stop!

I don't know my GH, I'm sure it's down a bit, but I'm holding off since cancer runs in my family. I'll just squat and try to get as much sleep as possible.

But you're right. Eventually I'll do it. But I don't want them THINKING they found something then I have to stress taking a dozen more tests. I did do the obligatory colonoscopy. Everything was fine.

it sucks that is what your doc thinks.. it would probably be worth the time and effort to find a good doc.. they are out there.. network.. talk to friends, colleagues anyone ..

^^^ This. Anytime I have ever seen a doctor I got shoved out the door with some dumbass prescription I didn't need, and I found out I knew more about my ailment than the doctor did. The other thing is they get visibly pissed when you show that you have an understanding of the issues at hand, and give you this snarky attitude like you don't know what you're talking about becausse you learned something on teh internets.

hahah.. had to do that at 45 myself.. it's like poopin, everybody does it.. i have to admit that sleep is not as good as it needs to be for me and i don't want to go the drug route.. .. keep the faith

Nelson, i'm in th same boat as you, my doc suspects i do gear because when he said i was familiar with injecting iinsulin for type 2 diabetes.

Anyway i demanded a full blood test

BP was 140/80 and i'm taking noradol for it

My Blood test levels were 93 ...ahhh he wasn't too concerned about that, he gave me a 250mg of test and left it at that.
Damn! I can't take that cagun food!

Any way matters are in my own hands so I'm good! Been this way for 40 yrs!

Im 44 and in the best shape of my life at 220 pounds and Im 20 pounds heavier than a person at 6'2 according to my Drs.. scale. looloo. You look great Nelson, keep up the great work and have fun on your trip..

actually Nelson I like your doctor in some way unless like Cane said above he is too stupid to know the difference between someone like Arabian who is 20 pounds of extra muscle, and some other guy that has 20 extra pounds of fat. .
atleast he is trying to push you.

most docs down south think that its normal to be 20% body fat. must be a New Yawk thing. docs down here are obese themselves, one lady i saw weighed a good 250 pounds... i couldn't believe she was a doc, they should have to get tested themselves and if they are out of shape they shoudl lose their license. that would be a great thing.

the last doc i saw was a chiropractor and he lauded my muscularity and asked me how often i worked out etc. he was in good shape himself.. thats the type of guy i like seeing.

Hey nelson since you are in my neck of the woods please go to dragos and try some charbroiled oysters. We have the best food down south!!! If you dont like dragos, go to deanies and get some of the best seafood on the planet.

Doctors dont seem to factor in currentfitness conditions. Im 41, 6´2 and usually around 220 off cycle and my doc said I should be around 185lbs. WTF? That would clock me in around 35lbs overwieght....how?

Because the average 200 pound American is a fat lard ass with no muscle.

Damn, I'm out of the bayou bro. Now I'm in South Beach. :mix:

Ok, I thought u were mid forties nelson, not 58. Damn. Ok, I went to the doc and at 6'5 250 , 13% bf said I needed to lose 45 pds so i'd be in 'healthy' range. Do u know what the f%$k i'd look like at 205???? He said my heart doesn't know the difference between muscle and fat.... well, I know the difference. I'm at 11% now and as unhealthy as ever I suppose.

At 6' 5"? Pretty fucking skinny! lol

It is true that at some point, weight is weight. It doesn't matter if you're 4% bf, if you're 320 pounds, it's a strain on the heart. But if you're at 13% bf and 250 at 6'5', I'd say you're just about right bro.

For those of us in our mid forties it's good to know you can stay healthy and in good shape into your late fifties, you're an inspiration Nelson. I have a doc who while he did put me on trt when I got low test results, when I went back after 3 months and told him I had testicular shrinkage he refused to prescribe hcg as he didn't know enough about the subject. Go figure

Nelson you need to get back in the game (muscle memory is a wonderful thing)

Never been out of it! The main difference between now and 15 years ago is back then it was all about gaining size. (Since I was a scrawny hard gainer), At this point it's more about maintaining - staying in shape and avoiding injury. But yeah, a little "treat cycle " now and then would be appealing.

It's true your heart doesnt know the difference between supporting 250lbs of fat ass and 250lbs of a lean muscle. The difference is the clogged arteries, diabetes, and cholesterol that comes with being a fat ass.
