I'm In Trouble......

.......I took a KICK-ASS 75 minute Kickboxing class tonight. It was so awesome. I haven't taken a class by this instructor before....and I haven't taken a class in about 3 months (been doing cardio on my own). Almost 2 hours after taking the class, my hair is STILL soaked....I sweat THAT much in that class.

The problem? Almost 2 hours later and I still can't get off the couch. I want to shower, I can't. I can't move. Everything aches. I tried to write a Thank You card to a friend, and I couldn't......It HURT to write. LOL I just took 2 Advils. Anyone have some Demerol? (j/k)

Tomorrow is going to be hell.

(BUT I LOVE IT!)

wow, i'm excited for you!

it's so exhilerating finding a new sport, and just aching afterwards! for days as well lol.

re-cuperate, and betcha you can't wait for your next class.

same happened to me and street combat classes, kick-ass! :D

I do an hour a week and love that class Daisy! I also have an instuctor that kicks are butts....WARNING THIS CLASS NOT INTENDED FOR BEGINNERS.....LOL

Good job! Exhausting workouts like that are great! Hope you aren't horribly sore today. I suggest taking 4 advils (still not prescription strength). Luckily, I have an anti-inflammatory for some back issues I'm having therapy on (so my back is fixed up before my shoulder surgery). I don't like taking them too often, but they work so good when you really need them ;). I plan on saving a bunch for those exhausting workouts once I'm back in the gym!

There's nothing better than being in pain like that!! I LOVE THAT FEELING! I would say one of my most memorably painful moments was when I was workin' at the Sears Tower. It was a little after "9/11" & we were having some fire drills. I was up on the 38th floor & you didn't have to go all the way down - you had the option to get out on the 35th floor & take the elevators down. But this Russian guy I worked with (who was HUGE like Arnold), decided to run down the stairs. I didn't think it was going to be that bad since I was only running DOWN them. Well next thing I know I'm in pain!!! Next day, itwas worse!! I couldn't do anything w/out feeling pain. Ahhhh... maybe I should run down the stairs at the building I'm workin' at now!! 25 floors shouldn't be too bad!!

lol@ missjanet....funny story. :)

Not TOO bad today, but it is only 7am..... I swear, last night I was wiped. I couldn't even forumlate complete sentences. I have taken a million different "kickboxing" classes before, but nost of them were TOO aerobics based. Too dancy, too many steps, too fru-fru!! We joined a new gym and I thought I'd try one out. This guy is no holds barred, no aerobics, no dance....just straight kicks, punches and plyometrics. He has a martial arts background - which is the reason. It was more true kickboxing than an aerobics class.

Lucid...I took 2 Advil this morning, I love that stuff.

Soreness Check: outer pecs (the 8 gazillion pushups he made us do), lats (punches, I expcet my traps to kick in any minute now), lower back, biceps.... will check in this evening with an update......hahahhahahahahhahahaha

I used to take a kickboxing-cardio type class at a karate studio. In the 2nd half of the class, it was all bag work......There was this 1 guy I worked with whom I HATED!! The day after was a Sore-Fest!!

Daisy that's awesome! I hope I can find a class like that after I move. All the ones I've found are too dancy as well. I'm also tempted to look at just a straight boxing training.
