Scale watchers, beware! I bought a new scale - a nice Tanita model - digital, stores up to 5 people's weights, remembers last weight, blah blah blah. I step on it, and it displays 143 lbs. I step on my old scale (Healthometer), it displays 133 lbs. There's exactly a 10 lb. difference between the two scales. I'm one of those people who only weighs themself on their scale under very specific conditions, so I've never even checked whether my old scale was correct or not. When I was in at the chiro, I jumped on his scale, and the Tanita is right. Thank God!
I have to admit, I always thought I should weigh more than my old scale was telling me - I thought I had more muscle than that! I'd always quit dieting because it bothered me that I was weighing in the 120's - now I know I was really in the 130's. I'm much relieved.
I've used the old scale for years - it's kind of funny, actually.
