I'm surprised that you run into this situation that often that you'd know what to use to get a snake thats latched onto you off of you...

i used to have several large snakes. sometimes during feeding they would grab onto the same piece of food. a snake can and will swallow another snake like that.

I'm not scared of snakes at all but I'm not sure I'd be good at doing battle with a snake big enough to eat my husband. So I'd probably not be too happy about it but ultimately he'd be kind of fucked unless I had a gun or something.

I would try to use alternative bait, like the dog, to get him loose
