I'm bulking atm and dont want to put on too much fat over the period. But if like 1 night i snack out on junk food can i just go for a run the next morning and burn as many calories as i put on from the junk food?
Is that how it works?
thanks

Bruh - your body does not think it terms of days....it thinks way down the road, i.e. weeks, months, in preparation for starvation, famine, etc.....One day or meal of gar-bage' will not mess you up.....3,200 cals in a lb....thats a pretty big cheat. It helps my sanity to hit cardo the next day, but is it erasing my previous meals? No.

no you cannot go for a run! eating any food/big meal prior to exercise will only give you cramping.

your body is designed to do one thing at a time, even if you eat junk, give it a few hours to digest, better yet make reparations the following day.

Bro,

I run 30+ miles a week along with lifting 3-5x per week. I find my BMR is around 3500-4000 calories

Running (cardio) burns extra energy so if you consume 500 extra calories and you run for 5 miles you will likely burn off 500 calories as well as increase you metabolic rate for a few hours after.

If you eat a cheat (as in a fatty, carb-filled, or sugar-filled) meal before you go to sleep, wouldnt that cheat meal turn into fat? And if you then proceed to run the next morning, even if you did burn off all the fat from the cheat meal, wouldn't you also be burning off muscle as well? Seems like you'd be better off eating your cheat meal while you're still somewhat active, but then I'm no expert.

Eating lots of carbs the previous night of your run will refill your glycogen stores so than you won't get into hypoglycemia during that cardio session

Thats alot of running. Are you still fairly muscular after all that running? Also wish my bmr was as high as yours.

Yeah, eat some McDonald's or whatever, then go for a run, then go home and hit yourself in the haed 3x with a ahmmer and one time in the gut. That will erase the meal plus about another 400 calories.
