What's the logic for that? You can't target burn fat...so why work them more often?

Some muscles benefit from higher volume, such as calves and abs. I don't think more than twice a week is necessary however.

I just work them every time they recover. Isn't that the point of spacing workouts anyway? Recovery (yes). I hit mine damn hard, so twice a week about 72hrs apart is the most I can handle.

That said, the question was posed as increase pertains to cutting. There's no reason to increase for that purpose in particular. For size of muscle, strength of muscle, yes...cutting (dropping the fat) has nothing to do with ab training frequency.

hmmm...let's see. you are cutting with reduced recovery abilties and you want to train a body part more frequently.

for the 1,000,000. time. ABS are made in the kitchen not in the gym !

this is true to a point. But if you neglect abs but have an amazing diet, your abs will suck. Everyone I know, including myself, that has a good six pack works abs daily. I do anywhere between 120-300 crunches (different types) depending on my mood, and I think it works great. I know guys that do around 500 a day, and it definitly shows.
That said, if these guys ate mcdonalds everyday and didnt know what a vegetable was, they could do 10000 crunches and have amazing abs, but they'd be hidden under 2 inches of fat

If you don't see results switch it up but be consistant with working them. I used to work them 3 times a week but didn't see the results I wanted so I switched to everyday and now I have a nice six. Everybody is different just be consistant.
