if anyone is good at math/statistics you can save my life

Basically I got really screwed over last quarter. I turned in my take home part of an exam to someone in my teachers department and she never got it. I ended up not getting a grade in that class but she's letting me redo it with slightly easier problems. I don't have a book and I dont have a clue of what I did in that class all last year. All I know is that Im fucked if I dont solve these so I'll paypal 50 bucks to anyone who can do these. Help me...please...porfavor. fuuuuck

Problem 1
Time magazine recently polled 500 13-year-olds online to get a glimpse into their world. The results may surprise many people: 13-year-olds in 2005 enjoy their relationships with their parents, are less likely to drink or do drugs than previous generations, and they are highly focused, competitive and determined to succeed. The overscheduled toddlers of the 1990s are now controlling their own schedules, and in many cases, their days are just as jam-packed as ever. It seems today's teens are not only used to being extremely busy, they thrive on it. One result from time poll was that 53% of the 13 year olds polled said their parents are very involved in their lives. Suppose that 200 of the 13-year-olds were boys and 300 of them were girls. We wish to find out if the proportion of 13-year-old boys and girls who say that their parents are very involved in their lives are the same.

a) Using symbols, state appropriate null and alternative hypothesis to test the proportions for 13-year-old boys versus 13-yr-old girls.

b) In the sample, 93 boys and 172 girls said that their parents are very involved in their lives. Use this sample information to calculate an appropriate test statistics for testing of the hypothesis state in part a). Show work!

c) For α=0.02, what is z*?

d) What is the p-value for this test?

e) Summarize your conclusion in the context of the problem using α=0.01

f) True or False: The probability that you have made a Type I error is equal to 1%

g) True or False: The probability that you made a type II error is equal to 1-0.01=.0.99

Problem 2
A sample of 19 female bears was measured for chest girth (y) and neck girth (x), both in inches. The LS regression equation related the two variables is ŷ=5.32+1.53x
SSE=231.72 sq. inches, r=0.887, SSxx=365.18 sq.inches, and x¯ =18.76 inches

a) give a practical interpretation of the slope of regression equation, in the context problem

b) Is there a practical interpretation of the intercept for this problem? Explain?

c) What is a 90% prediction interval for the chest girth of a bear with a neck girth of 20 inches?
d) Interpret the 90% PI calculated in part c) in the context of the problem

e) Is estimated slope value of 1.53 statistically significantly greater than zero? Conduct appropriate hypotheses, calculate an appropriate test statistic, calculate a p-value or critical value and interpret your result in the context of the problem. Use α=0.05.

f) How much variation in the chest girth can be explained by knowing neck girth?

girth is directly proportional to her pleasure

damn ive been staring at it for past 3 hours and nothing. I tried copying similar problems down and going of off them and still no good. I must be a fuckin dumbasss god damn it

Do your own damn homework. lol. I'd help you out if I had time but damn dude, you couldn't just keep it to a single clarification quesiton eh?

Second, tutoring is fucking expensive and $50 for over an hour of work is not fair. $50 is total low-balling.

Still, you might get a taker. Good luck boss.

man my ta does that thing in under a minute and if it was homework i wouldnt be postin it everywhere but copyin it from someone by now. Right now I'm fucked cause I only got few more hours to turn this damn thing in

Dude, it's not straight math. You have to explain all sorts of shit - but yeah, for someone who does this exact thing regularly and has to come to your classes prepared to answer all your quetions, it shouldn't take long.

I have to say, you might want to abort trying to get someone to do it for you. You already spent your chance with your teacher - this is your second chance from what you say. I would do it my man and hand it in. Get the credit.
The smart thing to do here is to bite the bullet, get 'er done and put it the fuck behind you.

I'm kind of getting the impression from you though that you will be learning this lesson the hard way.

yes ive been awake for past 18 hours and not likin it. My brain is blank right now so even if i had my damn text book it wouldnt help me in the longrun. while there is plenty of info on the net, it tends to throw me oiff even worse evry now and then cause half that shit that I never even heard in classs usually confuses me even worse.
I found some online stat tutor who charges for his problem solving so I'm trying to see what his qoote gonna be... seems like a legit guy so far.

i agree that its not straight math by the way, the readings made absolutely no sense to me after chapter 1(intro) in my textbook

Copy it to the science forum. It has been too many years since I did stats or I would help you. Sorry.

well great this dude just asked me if we've used some prediction formula that I had written down on the doc i sent him. Yea shit if I use it that means we use it and buuuuu
what the was is prediction formula anyway, wwhats all this david coperfield shit doing with statistics

nevermind this dude turned out gay. 80 bucks and I;ll have it done by early next week he says. Jesus christ can you take any longer. He says that he is always confident in his abillities and rarely gets under 80%. come on
