Ideas for building a porch......

I have plans for a fairly nice porch. Home Depot has a book on porches for $30. Interesting due to the fact that buyers will likely spend thousands if they buy this book.

I want lots of ideas....thinking the library of course.

Any bors and borettes got into porches lately?

I've got an old wood deck patio that I love. It's about to belong to the dogs. THen fence should be done in the next 2 weeks.

This one will be about 60 x 16 though 12 of the 60 will be awning. That 12 was easy.

The best idea I had for mine--call the dude that did my roof and have him do it. It's pretty cool-30x10 wrap around L shape high off the ground just perfect for all my drunkard friends, better update the ins before spring gets here.

I be looking to build a real custom jobbie and I am generally not thrilled with the qulaity of work done by contractors.

The last one called me a bit of a perfectionist so that explains things. He did decent work but not up to my standards if I have a choice.

Thats beautiful but pretty well opposite of what I am visualizing. My plan is mostly enclosed with a lot of glass and skylights. Maybe cheap, small "indoor" pool.

I'm on a bit of a hill and everybody can see right into my back yard.

I need some privacy.
