I have to give the bro a break... I put on full motocross gear just to putt around my own track; nobody to throw up any roost that I would need my chest protector for. But I still wear it all, because if I don't then it doesn't feel like a real practice, and I might as well ride a moped down the sidewalk. And furthermore, what do I care if McGrath or Pastrana happens to be driving down old Hwy 118 and sees me doing that? I'll put on a squat suit to lift a pile of dog poop if I want to, or a speedo to go hunting in Africa if I feel like it. I don't care if it makes someone laugh, in fact I'm happy I made their day.
If we're going to build the body, we need to build the confidence and self esteem not to worry about what other people think, and not let them run our lives for us. Otherwise the olympian body which we might earn is just an empty shell.
