I wonder if a person would gain muscle mass by using only Nolva at 10mgs a day.

Strictly as an experiment it may not be. I have a ton lying around. It raises test levels, decreases est levels.

Simple experiment really.

From a steroid profile site--

Nolvadex also has some important features for the steroid using athlete. In hypogonadic and infertile men given nolvadex, increases in the serum levels of LH, FSH, and most importantly, testosterone were all observed (2)(3). The best (rough) estimate I can give you from my research is that 20mgs of Nolvadex will raise your testosterone levels about 150% (5)...and this would of course greatly aid post-cycle-recovery. What this means to us is that if you take Nolvadex after a cycle, when you are trying to raise your levels of testosterone, LH, and FSH back to normal, it will greatly aid recovery. In fact, if I were limited to just one compound to aid me in post-cycle-recovery, Nolvadex would be my choice. If you want a comparison, it would require 150mgs of Clomid to accomplish that type of elevation in testosterone, but nolvadex also significantly increased the LH (Leutenizing Hormone) response to LHRL (5), after 6 weeks.

yea this was tested on people that were hypo, not at normal levels. I would like to hear how your experiment works. I dont think it is strong enough to raise your levels above a natural level.

I might try this experiment.
In my personal experience, Nolvadex, REALLY increases natural test levels.

When I had been off cycle, often without time to train, and sometimes skiping lunch due to work reasons; 10-20 mg nolva helps me preserve most of my muscles. I can even feel the classic test hornyness/mood enhancement.

Of course don't expect you'll become a monster just from nolva.

Yeah, I agree with all of you above.

Based on a number of reports/studies it raised test levels by about 100-200%.

Starting Mon. I am going to keep my current diet and caloric level while supplementing with Nolva.

Now just figuring out an appropriate dosage and time interval is the issue.

Suggestions?

Yeah, Pats. Read where the cited studies come from. They're usually prenatal monkey fatal burn coma victims or something. Not normal people.

interesting article --albiet biased (although it has a biblio)

How to tell a piece of writing is bullshit:

"In a 1995 study published in the Journal of Fertility and Sterility, researchers found that women using a topical progesterone cream had dramatically reduced breast cell multiplication rates compared to women using either a placebo or estrogen. This exciting study demonstrated that natural progesterone creams impressively decreased breast cell proliferation rates. (27)"

And the source?

"27) Sellman, Sherrill, Hormone Heresy: What Women MUST Know About Their Hormones, GetWell International, USA, 1997, pages 107 - 108"

Hi! They don't even know how to properly cite a souce citing another souce.

Autodinged!

Then again, pretty much no one knows how to actually read a non-popular publication, so it's a lose-lose situation. (But the drama ensuing on internet message boards is great, lol.)

i said "biased" (eddymerckx, "I wonder if a person...", at 10, Elite Fitness (December 18, 2007)--maybe should have said very very slanted--but still interesting :)

i do, but the ones that i read are of little help unless i get busted or want to bring suit against a source :)

This is all anectdotal evidence. I'm sure Samoth is right when he says there are no official real studies. But, I'm going to try the experiment anyway. I feel its a fairly safe experiment in the world of AA.S.

how long do you plan to take it?

I haven't completely decided yet, I'm open to suggestions. My original inkling was to go for 6-8 weeks, but I'm not sure of the effects of running it that long/short.

Opinions?

I used Nolvaldex for about 8 weeks to try and get rid of a gyno issue(non AAS related - havent used AAS yet) and I noticed bigger pumps, increased muscle mass, strength gains and increased sex drive - i had my pre novaldex test taken and it was 535ng/dl - never had it taken while on Nolvadex but i would bet it shot them up.
