I train/diet/live the life ...

I train/diet/live the life because...

I feel and look better than I EVER have. It has such a big impact on everything in my life in a positive way, and I can't give that up. I Love my life, and can't imagine it any other way.

I do it to: be healthy - my parents dying before I was 30 really opened my eyes to how important health is..........because I love being strong -- I get a kick out of being able to lift heavy things that other women can't........it's my stress relief -- I can take a PO'd mood & a bad day out on the iron & they won't bitch or complain & I can go home with a clean slate & relax.......It relaxes me........

I had to think back down to what is the base reason -- all the things I listed flow from that original reason because something happened the first time I pushed the leg press on this ancient Universal machine at my YMCA in 1981. It was like - HOLY SHIT! I MOVED A PILE OF WEIGHT! THAT IS SOOOO COOL!

It was sitting there, I'd never seen anyone use it. I wanted to see if I could push some weight. I could. I could push more weight. Shit! I'm strong. I love doing this crap! Hey let's try some of this other stuff! AWESOME! I got the most amazing sense of satisfaction and it wasn't something that I felt like I had to go call my dad & show him. It didn't matter if someone else saw it. It just mattered that I could do it.

Good thing I found this as an addiction instead of lighting up a bong....

Mine is pretty simple. I like looking and feeling good.

Because...no matter how I age, this lifestyle makes me sing (in my best James Brown) "I feel good!!!".

I could not see myself NOT training or living a fitness lifestyle. It defines my life that much.

Well, I have been "out of the lifestyle" for awhile now, but I am getting back into it for three reasons:

1) I want to be healthy for a long time. Being at a healthy weight and fitness level is key in this. Eating a healthy balanced diet is also key here.

2) I want to set a good example for my daughter. I want to show her that women can be strong, athletic and healthy - and STILL be feminine. I want her to grow up knowing she can accomplish anything. She doesn't have to come in first - but working towards goals and trying new things, that is what matters. I want her to grow up in an active healthy house.

3) I just simply feel better about everything when I am at a healthy weight and a good fitness level. I feel better about myself, my life and everything else.

Because it is what makes me happy, It makes me who I am, it shows my 2 children the importance of being healthy.
And...it makes me hotter! LOL

Because it makes me happy, confident, makes me look and feel good and wanting to go out and wear my cute clothes and shop for more clothes..
I personally have a closet full of cute clothes and have not been wearing them for about over a year and I am ready to get back to my shape and start enjoying life again!!!

because I don't want to die like my mom did. I want to be healthy and strong. If I ever get cancer, I'll be ready to fight it and since I will be in shape, I'll fight it HARD!
