I just bought 19 ipods and 13 coats...

I went to cracker barrel tonight for a turkey dinner with devin. I have no idea why but I burst out into tears in the middle of dinner. I'm a very happy positive person usually. I never behave like that or even feel like that usually. I have NOTHING to cry about and I can't even begin to tell you why I did that.

Well, anyway, then I was feeling all emotional and went to wal mart. I saw the Angel tree there and all those little cards on the trees. I was compelled to go look and I thought about what a big baby I was. There are parents of the kids on this tree who can't afford to get their kids a coat this winter. These kids were asking for coats.

So, I grabbed every card that was left on the tree and maxed out my only credit card. 19 ipods, 13 coats, baby toys, good god I went nuts. I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have done it at all.

Before I even left the store, they had filled the tree back up with kids who need things to even have a christmas.

I'm all for helping the less fortunate when you're really 'flush' and can afford to do so, but I hope you haven't seriously overextended yourself here. Better put in some serious overtime.

I'm on salary. I'm very frugal about things for myself but I'm not very frugal with things for my son. I thought about getting a tv for chistmas because I only have one little 19 inch tv, but I just maxed out a credit card, so I won't do that now...lol.
