can someone tell me what the hell this guy was wearign to the gym today??? it was a collared work shirt with the sleaves cut off at the shoulders???????? why the hell would someone wear this to the gym?? how does that make you look good and how is that comfortable to work out in?? i dont know about some people:rolleyes: .....

It was the "flex" magazine muscle look. was he wearing work boots and cut off denim shorts? I think it is all village people inspired fashion that the mid nintys BB brought back.

lol, gross man. i just wear adidas shorts and a shirt that i ripped the sleeves off of. im to cheap to buy a real sleeveless shirt.

I have never seen the work shirt before and I am glad. I have seen a dude working out in fucking khakis, a wife-beater, and docs. Ridiculous.....just re-damn-diculous.

those are the kids who lift to show off. its so obvious, they go straight for bench press, do a 3rm set and leave. note that they wear their stylish slanted abercrombie hats with their wife beaters and docs. i hate people like that, and plenty of em go to my gym.

its more comfortable. i hate having cotton jammed up my pits when they are sweaty, makes me itch. and on some lifts, sleeves can be constricting.

i wear hospital pants ( the best to work out in) andd i wear a t shirt or long sleave shirt....i already get enough eyes at my gym since im the only person doing the stuff i do. i dont need more chicks checking me out:D .

that's nothing - i saw an older chick once at my gym in a leather mini skirt and black panty hose. she had these knee high black leather boots on and she was doing squats on the smith machine! no one could believe it! i just stood there with my mouth open wondering wtf?!

nothing more pathetic than an overweight physique in tight apparel.

hookers need strong knees

My old gym went the gambit of guys coming in with their abercrombie hats on backwards, wife beaters and khaki pants...all the way to this one guy (who wasn't big enough to get away with this in my mind) some sort of leotard (don't know how you spell it) thing. It was hot pink, and black. If any of you watch WWE wrestling, it looks like the outfit Kurt Angle wears. His wife/girlfriend/mistress/skank was taking pictures of him the whole time. This guy doing squats next to me looked over at me and said "now ain't that cute?".

Hannibal wears his, but with good reason. It's too hot to wear with the sleeves, but the material holds the chalk and the bar well without it slipping, and it also provides cushion between his back and the bar, without being overly thick (has to be tucked into a squat suit).

yes for sure. I remember the last time i goodmorninged with no shirt on...i nearly dislocated my shoulders when the bar slipped on my skin.....but im talking about guys doing curls and machine presses. The only function of the shirt is to flaunt it.

I guess i dont relate because i am from the "other side" of weight lifting.

I allways work out in one of my two favourite sweatshirts. I dont like wearing tanktops or tight tshirts to the gym becasue people stare. The fatasses who think they look so damn good in the gym are the same ones who cover themselfs up when they see me in the loocker room :)

Like I once heard Doug Hill (gym owner) say, "Keep it hidden".

He told a story once about a guy he saw with a dress shirt on that he obviously bought too small on purpose and was holding his arms out extra far on purpose trying to accentuate his back.....

he called him " Larry Lat" .....said he looked rediculous.

It's called ILS (Imaginary Lat Syndrome) when guys walk around with their arms akimbo.
