I Highly Recommend Arnies New Bodybuilding Encyclopedia

My parents gave me "Arnold Schwarzenegger The new encyclopedia of modern bodybuilding" for christmas.

It is about 800 pages long and it has ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING about bodybuilding ranging from programs, nutrition, exercises, injuries, competition, posing, muscle and body information and plenty pictures of the pros.

IT cost about 60 dollars Australian so im guessing that is about 35 dollars american and im assuming that you should be able to find it in your book store since it was available in Australia.

Also if you are a huge fan of the ultimate bodybuilder Arnie then you will also like it alot as there are plenty of pictures of him in all of his years from 16 to the the present.

So if you can read and you like bodybuilding (if you dont fall under both of these categories then what the hell are u doing on this board?) then you should buy it.

It has become my new bible

I hope it hasn't become your new bible. Sure it's fun to read but if you do those marathon routines in there you'll overtrain yourself to hell. Not to mention a lot of the information is still flat out wrong (exercises to build inner pecs, peak the biceps, etc).

hmmm...some of it may be a little wrong in your opinion but you would think that with the huge experience he has had, he should know a bit.

I had the original 10 years ago, got it from my ex. I also got the new one for Xmas from my wife. (ironic) The pics are great..Diets are good, training is good if you like high volume. I was gonna take it back but instead Im sure this may be a collectors item one day So I am going to pack it away very well.
I wouldnt follow the 6 day split... how can you train chest/back/legs 2-3 days per week??? 15 sets each bodypart?

I also have the original. The training routines are outdated, but the awesome pictures more then make up for it. Probably one of the best collection of bodybuilding pics out there.

I remember trying to do arnolds advanced routine back when I was a kid. LOL, i was toast after a week. I'm in excellent condition now, but I still wouldn't be able to do all that. I don't know where Arnold got all that energy.

Not to discredit Arnold, but he honestly could have trained a lot better. His incredible genetics, plus gear (though nothing compared to what the pros today take) made up for it.

Come on, post-workout he had a chicken and a pitcher of beer.

I know that I have the new one...I may have them both. Definately inspiring to look at...and some new ideas to think about. I don't think that I have used any of them though...
