Hey guys well I know training westside you guys that compete leave your maxing out for the meets and that's cool upset for one thing in my case. Starting Feb 6 I have my first meet I planned on maxing out on Feb 8 which would have been the end of my 6 weeks working out westside. Here's the question if I'm doing a meet every wednesday when I start competing how am I going to be able to train westside??????

I was thinking to do my dynamic leg monday and dynamic bench on friday and leave wednesday for my ME day until the meets are over. We compete for a clean&jerk first then a pause bench. I'll be competing in the 165lb weight class. Any Ideas if this way is any good so I can stil be doing somewhat westside????? Or any other better ideas.

Another thing for my first meet should I rest that full week or keep doing my regular workout then leave wednesday for my ME day. so confused about what to do

If you qualify for state won't they leave you alone until then? I personally find the idea of competing every week completely idiotic.

it is going to be hard to train anything Maximally if you compete every week. The best i can tell you is to use your meet as your max day and still do the dynamic days

Arioch; It is stupid bro, but the thing is I have to at least lift 3 of the 6-7 meets to place and have a chance to qualify. And to qualify I have to lift then we get 3 weeks off then go lift up in the state of FL.

Grimmer; So basically do like I said just do my dynamic days on mon and fri. One thing though should I keep it like I said do dynamic legs on mon and dynamic bench on fri.

Another thing how am I going to know what to put on for my ME when I do clean&jerk then pause, If I fail I'm out.

Does qualifying have to do with how well you place or your total? If its your total and you only have to qualify once then try to at your first meet and then dont go all out at the other 2. Try to spread out the ones that you have to do otherwise you will probly just burnout.

Hey man sup, See that's what I'm afraid of burnin out. But I know if I qualify for states then I'm straight I don't have to lift but my coach wants me too b/c i'm the only 165lber so he doesn't want that competition taking all the spots, it doesn't look good for our school. Now goin back to the qualifying, once I qualify that's it. But honestly to tell all of you the truth I don't think I'll total 480 if I'm at 420 round there right now. Who knows.

You could try and space your meets as far apart as possible. Take the first one as a training meet to see how you do in competition, see what you need to work on, and hopefully correct for the second and/or third meets.

Hey guys I don't care anymore b/c I just found out something that's fucking great today. It used to be 450lb total to place for states at a 165lb weight class. Well I total at the moment 400 so I figured I would've made it. Well now the total has changed now it's 525lb total. And for me to do that it'd either be a miracle or mad roids so FUCK GOING TO STATES THIS YEAR FOR ME.

Hey bro don't get discouraged and sure and the hell don't let a number get in your way of states. Competition is totally different than training and its still a montha way for you right. So shut up and put 525 on the top of your to do list and get back in the gym. every time you get tired and are thinking about calling it a day think of that number and do another set or two to finish up.
WANT SOME ,GET SOME , BAD ENOUGH , TAKE SOME!!

Hey thanx man. what I was thinking of doing was instead of some movements I'm doing right now to help out my dealifts and squats I'm going to do movements to help my cleans. Like high pulls from the ground I'll keep dynamic deadlifts b/c those are good for it. and hang cleans instead of military press. do push press instead of spilt jerks(these are easier so if I get better at push press I can do split jerks WAY easier).
