Congrats!, I Phone is a pretty reliable, simple to use device...what network are you on? (I AM, what you would call.."an expert"...)

I like my iPhone 4s, but I'm going to pick up a Galaxy Note soon. Bigger is better. :)

Note looks pretty awesome

I just hope Apple steps it up with the next release because with the Samsung's coming out this year they are supposed to have a battery that lasts all day long. Im tempted because Im kinda over it with the iPhone but just so used to the OS that using a different one would be just weird.

lol, well I cant post why im an expert, but I truly am, wasnt intended to be a brag, but more of a "I can help" if anyone has a question.

I understand why you would say that...its cool. But truly just offering help...lets just say I have a significant involvement with that industry.

what you will find is that the biggest drain on your battery will be caused by the display, brightness, screen time out duration, etc. The battery technology hasnt kept pace with display tech. In the near future there will be significant advancements in the oled technology which will help. Second battery drain suspects are widgets, they constantly access the network, therefore drain battery based on the power consumption of the radio. You will notice that "4G" or LTE devices will use more energy due to the size of bandwidth being used to transmit data and 1x signals from and too the device/towers. By next year devices will approach star trek levels of ability...although scotty wont be able to beam you up.

Can you drop any specific info on that or are you not allowed to speak on it?

Bell... I had a torch I thought that some of the issues were because of my network but I think it was just the goddam torch.

In no bond...lol but I do have to maintain the trust of my employers...as well as the contract I signed that means my big mouth would cost me dearly.

I don't doubt it...there have been some crazy stories about Apple's obessive secrecy; something about throwing new hires on phony 'dummy' projects so they can evaluate them / investigate them to see if they are trustworthy enough to keep them on and assign them to actual R&D projects.

Yes, you are pretty close to the facts, although if you saw the contracts you would not think of being the loose lipped link. Another info control is that the "project" usually consists of component teams that do not see the entire component build, thus minimizing the potential of spies (they do exist)

Amen to that brutha, after all that is why htc admitted last week that they, Samsung and others jumped the gun on adapting their devices to the 4G LTE networks. They just didn't work efficiently enough and sacrificed a ton of battery life for speed, that's why Apple held off on 4G until they could do it right, possibly with the "5"...as with multitasking, notification center, etc... Apple wasn't late to the party, they held off until it could be done right. Cell phones will be crazy by the fall, and absolutely insane by next spring.
As for the "note"...........it's not really all that, for some reason I don't mind the size, however not much more innovation, the battery life is horrible, and cases will make this thing a behemoth. There is a pretty sweet "note" taking app that is amazing, but other than being very practical for those that would rather use a stylus it doesn't offer much more at all. Except for a really cool comic making app.

You would be in tears if you could see the "best of" home videos the engineer team has compiled from device memory cards when returned.
(dont forget to factory reset your device and RETAIN the memory card)
