I know a lot of firefighters, most will retire from the job never having the option to run into a burning building to save a person. Most are so frustrated by the bullshit calls from drunks and junkies they would quit if they didn't have such a sweet setup as far as pay, benefits, work schedule and retirement. BTW, the deadliest professions in America are pilot, delivery driver and fisherman; Firefighter and police officer are way down the list, landscaping is a deadlier profession than police officer.
