It formed these painful blisters under it. I took it off for a few days to let my skin heal. I put it back on, and viola painful rash with blisters again. What the heck?! I had it since March and it just started doing this. I guess I have developed an allergy. ??? I never had this problem with gold or platinum. I am extremely allergic to costume jewelry, but I know for a fact that this is white gold. :bawling:

Seriously? You are allergic to gold, too? I seriously think I developed an allergy. I have always had to wear real jewelry and can't even wear costume jewelry earrings like most gals can wear or my ears actually swell up and turn beet red and burn and itch. But my finger wasn't even all the way healed up, so I put the ring on in a slightly higher position. Now I have two distinct lines of wounds on my finger. It itches and burns like having something very caustic on my skin. :worried:

That was my guess.

He passsed off some cheap ring and its reacting adversely with her skin.
Nope, but keep hatin'.

My fiance has the same problem after wearing her ring for a long period of time. She also cannot wear earrings of any kind except plastic. She says her ears get really infected if she has ear jewelry.

yeah, I think I'm allergic. :( I was married before and my ring was platinum and I never had this problem with that one. Maybe I have to wear platinum.

I wear a pair of earrings that are platinum. I have to take them out occassionally because my skin gets sensitive. I don't wear much jewelry, because I think too much looks tacky. I usually just wear a ring and earrings. Occasionally I will throw on a necklace and a watch, depending on what I am wearing. But those things don't stay on all the time. My ring and earrings are always on because my guy gave them to me.

allergic to the ring or allergic to monogamy?
LOL...

here is an interesting question: If you are married and you are having sex with only one person, are you still monogamous if that one person isn't your hubby.

LOL....i'm only joking.

Yes.

She seems to have to take her ring off right about the time I roll into town.

Yea, I would try platinum and see how that goes. You know you could always get a finger tatoo in place of your ring ;)

It sucks. I am supposed to get a different solitaire for a wedding ring and then be able to just use this one as an occassional coctail ring. I will make sure the wedding ring is in platinum and see if that helps. :worried: My last engagement ring wedding band were platinum. I never had a problem with those.
