I Am Legend

after reading that wiko entry I suspect stephen king ripped off "I am legend" for much of "Salem's Lot"

I remember as a teen staying up all night to finish Salem's Lot and then going to school at 8am
I had to finish it that bad and couldn't put the book down

Looks like the new movie is going to follow more with "Omega Man" than the book, much to my chagrin.

The dude shot everyone, including his little son, in the head to kill them when they ran out of gas. def raid a firearms store to begin with, though that'd be more helpful in a 28 days type of situation.
in a mist, you'd need lotsa stockpiled food and water, plus some sort of underground shelter

I am legend is a short novella. Not even 200 pages. There really are almost zero similarities, both in writing, style and tone of the book, and story. I'd go as far as to say "I am Legend" is more about Neville's despair and lonliness than it is some vampire bug. No rip off there.
