how did you guys find EF and why did you stay here?

i'll start off;

i was looking to get into lifting in august of 2008. I read some stuff on occasion on wannabebig.com, and found a lot of it really interesting. I continued to read the site maybe a few times a week when i had time, and learned some good information from it. Then, when i got my license and asked some sports specific questions on the forums, some of the guys there told me they'd help me out. However, nobody followed through, so i went on google and found EF. I found a lot of the guys on here to be really welcoming and seemed like reliable sources. Saibot and EM have been a huge help to my training on here for a while, and recently andalite has given me some great information.

I think both are great sites, but on EF there is a smaller community where everyone knows their shit and talks to you on a more personal level. It makes for more reliable information as opposed to a site like BB.com.

I wanted to thank everyone on here for not being douche bags, because if you were then I would probably be on BB.com squatting and benching in the smith machine along with curling in the squat rack.

Or even better you'd be curling in the smith machine:D

Typed "Guide to steroids" or some variation of, into google and went through until I found Needto's sticky thread in the AAS forum. Spent the next few hours reading through several threads before making the classic newb account "I wana try steroids and know nothing"

Even though I was defensive at the time, Im glad they told me to STFU and get my diet and training sorted first. Been reading through logs for past few months for rough estimates about how much I could put on during a cycle, and through that I found Rippetoes SS pop up a few times in convo so I checked it out and it seemed like something that would a) work and b) Id be able to do. Ive got some prohormones and SERMs in the bottom of the wardrobe and a few contacts at the gym (before joining here id never have worked up the courage to just simply ask guys if they were using owt, they wasnt as defensive Id I figured they would be) so that if I wana start in 6-12 months I will.

Thanks EF:D

This is a really good site and you're right: people are nice and it is a close community. I've only just started my training journal on here and I have a great experience as being a part of the community here.
