If one were trying to start a business, do you just have to know people do get good deals on buying stuff in bulk? It seems like it would be cheaper to buy straight from the manufacturer of the product, rather than buying wholesale from a middle-man

For instance, take USP Labs Jack3d. Does USP Labs have their own warehouse of ingredients and they do everything themselves, or do they get ingredients from somewhere else for a cheaper price? If so, where would I get info on how to get the ingredients at a cheap price?

I just dont wanna buy wholesale because in the end youll basically make no profit. Thanks for any help bro's

there are only a few very large supplement companies that manufacturer their own products, most like 99% just contract it out. so you have to find yourself a contractor and go from there, the one thing to consider is you have to have a lot of $ up front just like starting any business, most manufacturers will have a 500 bottle minimum, some higher, the typical minimum is 1,000 bottles of any one formula, also you need a business and marketing plan in place to make sure you can sell that inventory and get a good ROI.

Also had a questio for you bro, how do you sell prohormones? I thought they were banned....do you have a manufacturer make you your own prohormones?

Wait a second, are you asking about creating your own brand, or just reselling other brands, because that is completely different. Euorpa is a distributor not a manufacturer, so yeah you could set-up a store and either stock products through Europa or you could even have them drop ship, but again that is not creating your own brand of products.

I wanna do both, but since the startup cost is high I only want like 2 products from europasports

I want to create my own products as well. Your site is a lot like what I want. The products, like 1 of each category of supplements for the hardcore weight lifter.

I heard drop shipping sucks, but maybe for someone like me (21 y/o, college student) it would be better?

Generally, supp companies will create or duplicate the chemical pattern and ingredients for their shit, and then contract the manufacturing out to another company that specializes in just that.

Then it is up to the manufacturer to order the materials, create the product in bulk, and ship to the contractor.

Are you majoring in biochem? Or are chemical compositions of supps just a hobby?

Thanks

Fisrt at all, you should make it sure if the supplier a manufacture or not, if so, $1500 is Ok. Cause that is not a big oreder. Just their Min. Then, compare the prices, you will find the most competitive one.

Hi,

Thought I might give my 2 cents.

Couple years back, I've had the same thoughts and contacted alot of the manufacturers and distributors. It seems that when you're ordering with such minimal investment, your discount rates will mean that your FOB pricing is going to be similar or may be a couple dollars off what the big guys are retailing at.

Don't forget since it's FOB, you will have to consider shipping from distributor to you and from you to your end user, which will put your products at a price point where it's just way too high to convince any buyers who are now very savy on price comparison.

A friend of mine has made this dream a little further by opening up his very own brick and mortar store. He ran into the same thing, his prices were too high, so what he had to do to turn things around was to order in even bigger bulk, but of course forming an alliance with many fellow businessmen where everyone only had the means to order in smaller bulk.

Even then, they managed to drop their bulk prices, it was only gonna mean that the profit margin for them was only about $3 to $10 per say tub of whey (usually the lower end). A tub typically lasts people a month or so depending how heavy a drinker they are, so effectively, each customer he has is only gonna give him $3 to $10 per month per item bought. Which is not very lucrative at all considering that each tub already cost around $25 to $40 a tub.

Consider your rents for storage, man power, to be frank, my buddy is saying it's only making enough like a slightly lower end wage, the only good thing for him is that he gets to be his own boss, that's all.
