How to cook broccoli

I have one, I did this just last night:

Put about 2 tablespoons on olive oil and some crushed garlic in a casserole dish, throw in 1/2 bag of frozen broccoli, mix it together so the oil and garlic coats the broccoli, cook in the microwave as directed - good stuff!!

I dont mind the taste of broccoli, I just microwave it and eat it with my chicken.

Does putting it in the microwave take away most of the nutrients ?

Stir frying broccoli and mircowaving it?? surely these are the very 2 things that woudl destroy the nutrients.

Steaming is the only way to go. I just soak mine in hot water for a few minutes and eat it. Hated it at first but after a while you aquire the taste. The trick is not to have broc everyday. I have mine twice a week.

Why can't you have broccoli every day if you wanted to???

Steam it and spray with I Can't Believe Its Butter.
That's how I do it.

Ever since I got a rice cooker/vegetable steamer for Christmas I've been eating a lot more vegetables... I steam everything. I just had some steamed corn-on-the-cob the other day and it was awesome. I've also done broccoli, carrots, yams, green beans, etc... All fantastic.

You're right about the damaged to the nutrients should broccoli be stir-fried or mircrowaved. Steaming is excellent and it is the best way to eat brocolli.
Lightly steamed with a steamer (hot mist like they use with dim sims), if not then a quick throw into hot water will do.(never to let it oxidated though)

I don't know about not having broc everyday. I do know that it is ranked as the most nutritious vegetable out there, however alot of broc consumption are known to give bloatedness effect though.
