I prefer to work on macros, I like 3 days in between, though it depends on your current BF, the fatter you are, the more distance you can have between Carb-up days (not to be confused with CKD carb-up days)
Something that works for me all the time is:
Mon-Tue-Wed-Fri-Sat
45% Prot
25% Carb
30% Fat
then
Thu-Sun
Prot 35%
Carb 50%
Fat 15%
