How Much Would YOU Spend on a Piece of Exercise Equipment

I would spend $300 max if I can get a rack, barbells and some plates. They don't have to be new or even in good condition. Just as long as the bar isn't totally rusted and the rack held the back up I'm good. They gotta be olympic barbells though.

Some wicked deals can be found on craigslist, you just gotta be quick about it.

One day my husband was in Sears buying something in the tool department, which is usually right by the workout stuff, they were having a clearance. I didn't need it but he got me a 7' oly bar with collars for $10 :D He's a good guy. He said "well, it's always nice to have a backup." I had to LOL. I figured one of these days I'll have him rig up a T-Bar bracket :D Shit, the damn collars cost a couple bucks by themselves :whatever:

The most I've dropped on an individual pieces was like $240 for my log. I have a ton of other stuff but the next most expensive thing was like $180(harness). All my other strongman stuff I either acquired for free or made myself on the cheap.

I'd throw maybe $500 for any one piece but any more than that and it's not going to happen. The only fancy piece of cardio equipment I like is the elliptical and since my gym membership is like $10 a month there isn't a point in even thinking of buying one. Besides most of my cardio work is in the form of carrying, dragging, or pulling implements.

Cheers,
Scotsman
