Puddles will confirm this, but if you are spending under $3-4k, you are going to be dissapointed in the equipment.
A good treadmill, expect to spend over $10k. I am talking about one you will use regularly. You can spend a lot less but in one months time, it will just become something you hang clothes on.
Nah, treadmills are a little different than ellipticals. You can get into a high quality tread for 3-4k. Sure, there are 10k treadmills out there but not everybody needs a Woodway.
Nordic used to make high quality stuff, long time ago. This was before they sold out and Icon started making it. Today it's nothing more than disposable equipment.
fourteen thousand dollars for some gym equipment at home hmmmmmm......
well i was watching some stupid show lastnight with some chic that spends 12k a month on wigs for everyday of the week, i can see that equipment in her house
i have a lil set up at home but i never use it i still go to the gym
Not so. I own one and my parents have the same model. The units the NT site sells at that price point hold up fine at moderate (~1 hour use daily) use.

Do you guys struggle with reading? Not saying "I'm guessing" or "I heard from a friend", I'm saying from personal experience I have observed that two examples of the same model have held up well under the conditions I listed.

I'd like to send my tech out there to retrieve the mileage on said models. The great thing about the typical owners of the Welso's and ProForm's is the fact that they buy a piece of equipment that gets used for the first 3 months, then sits untouched for 9 years, then they talk about how it's 10 years old and going strong. el oh el
Dude please, that's akin to saying "a good car should be able to go 300k miles w/o needing an engine rebuid". You're describing a very high performance treadmill, not a "good" treadmill.
Very few home use treadmills are designed to stand up to that frequency of use for good reason. How many people have you ever sold a treadmill to where you think that unit is really going to get used 4 hours a day for any length of time? 1 in 50 maybe?
I'd say the only realistic example of a person needing an expensive treadmill for home use would be a very obese person. In that case a unit designed to much higher tolerances would be appropriate.
