How much warm-up do I need before I hit the gym?

I've been hitting the gym really hard and I'm a little bit worried that I'm going to pull something or hurt myself. I'm not warming up the way I should. I've read online that you should do at least five or ten minutes of light cardio and dynamic stretches before lifting. Being honest, how much are you guys actually doing?

Bros, you're not going to go wrong with warming up as long as possible. You want to go with light weight and do the movements, do some dynamic stretching as well.

A few rotational drills for socketed joints I've found to be a good middle ground when it comes to saving time and making sure you're properly warmed up. For hip and shoulder health. YTW's for shoulders, and hip-airplanes for hips.
