It depends on how long your cycle was. Time on =time off. Or if you don't want to wait get a blood test and see where your levels are at.

what is a safe amount of time to wait between cycles? is 2 months or should i wait more?

I have had blood testing conducted at 4 week intervals after completely stopping a cycle. It took more than 10 weeks for my panels to return to pre-cycle levels. My Dr and I concluded that that was the time the injected drugs needed to leave my system, especially if a nandro was included.

I could feel the change within two weeks. However, the effects on the system were still there for a long time. I just stopped taking naps Friday and I could tell the dif in 24 hours. A lot of nasty sides are gone within 36 hours.
