Hello all.

So I am bulking up right now and I am thinking about this simple question:
How much out of shape should you be in your bulking up time to gain the maximum possible amount of muscle?

I have read mixed opinions.

1st_ Don;t bulk up too much, because you will have to loose it later and when you loose it muscle will be lost at the same time

2nd) If you don't consume enough calories you would not grow muscles to your maximum potential. But If I get something like lee priest (fat as hell in offseason) will I be able to loose all that flab and regain my hard earned muscles? Again if I were juicing, then iut would not be a problem. But what about natural bber?

Reply please. Thanks@!

To tell you the truth... you can run a modified version of CKD and gain an outstanding amount of muscle.
3 days 'Ketosis'/1 day carb-up...I can vouch for the 3/1 ratio as a bulking ratio 100%...

yes the 3/1 ratio will definately work. Never knew anyone who has done it but i think it will work, give it a try and tell us how it goes. :D

Personally, I can't go higher than 13% or so without feeling very depressed about my appearance. So at that mark I usually diet for 6-7 weeks or so to get the bf down to 7-8%, then go back to bulking. I'm going to try to keep the fat off when bulking during my next phase but might go higher than usual and will then see how results might differ (perhaps). I think it's a matter of personal preference really.
