Thats about 9 cubic inches.
Which is about 4.8 ounces.

ive heard just by looking at it that about a deck of cards size equals 30 grams of protein, anybody know if this is true?

Yeah a deck of card size piece is about 4 oz, so 30g of Protein makes sense.

120 grams of Protein per 1 lb.

8oz serving = 60 grams of Protein

16oz = 1 lb.

A deck of cards relates to approximately 3 ounces and roughly 20 to 25 grams of protein, depending on the source. 1 pound of steak would have about 120 - 130 grams of protein. Top Sirloin is a lean cut, but the leaner cuts tend to be ones with the word "round" in the name. Such as top round and eye of round. Good luck!!
