How much protein powder do you guys take each day? I'm just referring to supplement protein not what you eat in from your food (although I guess the amount you supplement would depend on how much protein you got from food).
i almost get all my protein from my diet but i like to take a shake directly after training, and also when im not cutting i like to take a carbo drink after my protein shake......
I shoot for 140 g in 3 shakes...40 g whey isolate early in day, 60 g whey isolate/concentrate mix w/ maltodextrin post workout, 40 g whey or whey/casein/egg mix before bed.
Its seems like protein powder is cheaper than food sources of protein because its more concentrated. Also, I heard that your body absorbs different types of protein better than others and supposedly most whey protein powders have the best protein absorption rate.
Maximum I take is about 75, i agree w/ the guys talking about eating real food. Nothing compares to it. Whey i'd use postworkout or if i'm lagging in protein intake then i'd supplement if not i try not to use it.
